TCU withstands furious second half to remain unbeaten, knock off Kansas

It wasn’t easy Saturday for TCU and quarterback Max Duggan, but they found a way to leave Kansas undefeated (The Associated Press/Charlie Riedel).

LAWRENCE, Kan. — A defensive battle in the first half Saturday turned into the shootout many anticipated after halftime, and that was good news for TCU.

So was the emergence of Quentin Johnston.

But it was close.
