The Horned Frogs moved up one spot to No. 7 in this week’s Associated Press poll following their 38-28 win over Kansas State. TCU defeated a ranked opponent for the fourth consecutive week, the longest such streak in program history.
TCU has achieved their highest ranking in the AP Poll since being ranked No. 4 in Week 8 of the 2017 season. TCU also opened that season 7-0 before falling to Iowa State in Ames, Ia. 14-7.
The Frogs are one of just six remaining undefeated teams in the country. One loss Alabama is just ahead of TCU at No. 6.
TCU is joined by two other Big 12 schools, both of whom they’ve already beaten this season. Oklahoma State checks in at No. 9, while Kansas State fell from No. 17 to No. 22 following their loss.
Georgia and Ohio State hold the top two spots in the poll, while Tennessee moves up to No. 3, jumping Michigan. Clemson rounds out the top five after coming back to defeat then-ranked No. 14 Syracuse 27-21.
