LOS ANGELES — During the Sunday head coaches press conference for the College Football Playoff National Championship, TCU coach Sonny Dykes noted several times that the NCAA calendar and this season in particular “has been a grind.”
The grind continues through championship week, as the Frogs hosted six players in the transfer portal on official visits before jetting off to Sofi Stadium.
One of those on the visits, defensive lineman Mosiah Nasil-Kite from Maryland committed to Auburn on Sunday.
Frogs Today had reported on the transfer commitments from former Alabama offensive lineman Tommy Brockermeyer and teammate JoJo Earle, a Crimson Tide slot receiver who returned closer to home, as he is an Aledo native. Brockermeyer went to Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal.
Avery Helm, the Florida cornerback and Missouri City product, announced his commitment Dec. 17.
Jack Bech, a tight end/receiver combo and former four-star recruit from LSU, followed suit the next day.
As part of the 22 signees for the early signing period, Channing Canada the top junior-college cornerback in the country and undoubtedly the most coveted — with 40 programs extending offers — inked his pledge to the Frogs.
Most recently, Trey Sanders committed to the Frogs after his visit last week.
