As TCU prepares to take on Michigan on Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl, with hopes of a national championship on each team’s mind, I found myself doing my best to objectively determine if TCU has a chance in this game.
The simple answer I arrived at is: Of course, they do! TCU is a fantastic football team with the Heisman runner-up at quarterback, empowered by the Glory of the Hypnotoad.
What does it take to win a game like this? Coaching schemes, luck, heart, grit, determination. All of these certainly play a factor. But the single most important variable in wins and losses is old-fashioned talent.
Ahh, yes. Talent. Run fast, hit hard, throw far. A tale as old as time. But is Michigan a more talented team than TCU?
