TCU baseball released its full 2023 schedule on Thursday, which includes a full Big 12 Conference slate and a challenging non-conference offering as well. The Frogs are looking to improve off a 38-22 season a year ago, during which they won the Big 12 regular season championship and first-year head coach Kirk Saarloos won Big 12 Coach of the Year.

The Frogs open the season back at Globe Life Field, a place they’re incredibly familiar with these days, for the College Baseball Showdown, where they’ll face Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Missouri. TCU then plays host to Florida State for a weekend series, before heading down to Houston for the Shriners’ College Classic. While in Houston the Frogs will place Rice, Michigan, and get a rematch with Louisville, who they fell to by a score of 9-8 just a season ago.
Texas A&M will also be in Houston for the Shriners’ Classic, but the Frogs and Aggies will not play.
Two fresh non-conference opponents will travel to Fort Worth for midweek games as well. Texas State, coached by former Frog Steven Trout, will visit Fort Worth on May 16th, ahead of TCU’s final Big 12 conference series, while Northwestern will travel down for a midweek game on March 22nd.
TCU rounds out their non-conference slate with home series against San Diego (March 10-12), UNC Wilmington (April 14-16), and Saarloos’ alma mater Cal State Fullerton (May 5-7), and midweek contests throughout the year against the usual suspects; UT-Arlington, Tarleton State, Dallas Baptist, Lamar, UT-Rio Grand Valley, and Abilene Christian.
TCU opens it’s Big 12 regular season title defense with a road series to Norman, Ok. to take on the Oklahoma Sooners on March 17-19. The Frogs will then head back home for a series with Kansas before traveling to Lubbock for a series with Texas Tech beginning on March 31.
TCU comes home on April 6th for a weekend series against Oklahoma State before heading to Morgantown for a series with West Virginia on April 21-23. The Texas Longhorns and former Frog Porter Brown head to Fort Worth on April 28-30, followed two weeks later by a visit from the Baylor Bears.
TCU closes out their regular season schedule with a trip to Manhattan, Ks. on May 18-20 for a series with the Kansas State Wildcats.
